for flexible community use and theatre performance

Grittleton Village Hall is a flexible multi-use space in a modern building that supports a wide range of village activities. The cinema system was designed to work around those different uses, with one key feature being that both the screen and projector are fully retractable, disappearing into the roof space when not required so the hall remains uncluttered and versatile.

The sound system was also designed differently to suit the hall’s active theatre group, using a larger and removable setup that can better support performances as well as general community use.

Projector Ceiling Lift

This installation image shows the projector mounted on its retractable ceiling lift, allowing it to remain hidden when not in use and preserving the flexibility of the hall. Once the system was fitted, a specialist ceiling contractor returned to site to reinstate the ceiling neatly around the new installation.

Portable Secure Equipment Case

Linked display screens designed to turn a walkway into a continuous visual feature

Grittleton’s sound system needed to suit a wider range of hall users, so the solution was a purpose-built portable equipment rack. This secure case houses the additional system elements, including radio microphone receivers, audio mixer, amplification and DVD player, giving the hall a flexible setup that can be moved and used as required.
